Peace Country Wolves Athletics Club runner Brandon Wladyko made a auspicious debut at the half marathon distance on Saturday morning, winning the 2017 Daily Herald Tribune Press run.
Wladyko covered the 21.1 km distance in a time of 1:20:24, 5 minutes ahead of second placer Landon Dunbar.
PCWAC team mates Troy Bogh and Mairen Lawson also had wins on Saturday. Bogh won the 10km event while Lawson placed first in the Women’s 5 km event.
Twelve year old Jacob Farnsworth had a huge run, finishing 3rd overall in the 5 km.
