Spirit River’s Eric Nooy finished 2nd in the 3000m at the 2017 Peace Country Classic Track Meet

Eighty-one athletes of all ages and abilities descended upon the Legion Track on Saturday for the 2017 Peace Country Classic/GP Kids Track Meet.  While wet and windy weather hampered performances, a number of local athletes produced multiple wins.

Dawson Creek’s Bailey Shoemaker won four events in the Midget Girls category (100m, 200m, 80m hurdles, javelin).

In the team competition, the host Peace Country Wolves Athletics Club prevailed by 5 points over the Peace Wapiti Academy.  Spirit River Regional Academy was third.
