Wolves Tracksters Active on Two Fronts

A split squad of Wolves Indoor Track runners were active in two venues on the weekend.  Six athletes competed at the Golden Bear Challenge meet in Edmonton on Friday and Saturday, while two others contested ACAC #2 – SAIT Open in Calgary on Sunday.

The Women’s 4 x 400m relay team, consisting of Kelsey Bishop, Brittany Duvall, Janai Martens, and Maria Houle had the best Wolves placing in the Edmonton meet,  finishing third in their race (4:27.19).

Other top Wolves performance included Bishop (300m –  18th – 46.14), Houle (600m – 19th – 1:47.26), and Andrea Snider (1500m – 21st – 5:22.30 and 3000m – 14th – 11:42.24)

On Sunday in Calgary, Brandon Wladyko was the top Wolves performer, placing 5th in the 3000m in a time of 9:52.24.  Josh Malmsten was 10th in the 1000m,  stopping the clock at 2:5946.

Next up for the Wolves Indoor Track team is the 2017 ACAC Indoor Track Championships in Lethbridge on March 3 and 4.
