Wolves Runners top Finishers on Both Sides of the Border

With races in both Alberta and BC this weekend, GPRC Wolves Cross Country runners achieved success in two provinces.

On Friday night, second year runner Jamie Wigmore had the outright win in the 5 km distance at the GPREMS Ambulance Chaser at South Bear Creek Park.  Wigmore blazed the course in 22:30 , a minute and a half ahead of team mate and  second place finisher Christie Shepherd.  Another Wolves runner, Ashley Camsell placed third.

Rookie Wolves runner Julian Camsell placed first among the men in the 5 km race.

In the 10 km race, Wolves veteran Vaughn Marillier placed second.  The race was won by Laglace’s Paul Birnbaum.

On Saturday, led by rookie Catherine Geary, the Wolves went 2-3-4 amongst the women in 5.6 km distance at  the Dawson Creek Sneak.   Caryn Clark and Calla Scott were the third and fourth place finishers.

Wolves Alumnus Roland Esposito placed third among the men.

Next up for Wolves Cross Country runners is ACAC Race 4 in Edmonton next weekend.
